We are Green
Our Green Commitment
As Japan’s leading supplier of qualitative research, JMRN recognizes that our commitment to excellence extends beyond achieving customer satisfaction. It extends to environmental awareness and the acceptance of our responsibility to conserve energy and resources – both locally and globally. To satisfy this responsibility, we have adopted a number of alternative practices in our day-to-day office operations that ultimately reduce the impact of our corporate footprint on the environment. These practices currently include (but are not limited to) the following:
• Exclusive use of Energy Star® rated PCs and peripherals
• Replacement of all leased O/A equipment with energy efficient models
• Use of low energy lighting fixtures
• Reduced lighting (non-critical lighting is switched off and used only as needed)
• Reduced use of air conditioning and heating by adjusting temperature to more moderate levels, as well as using timers to minimize run time
• Reduced use of paper (electronic reporting and presentations)
• Use of recycled paper and office supplies made from recycled materials
• Recycling of used office materials (i.e., utilizing scrap paper for note pads, reusing packing materials, recycling of print cartridges, etc.)
• Use of washable cups, dishes and glassware in lieu of disposable paper products
• Retrofitted toilets to meet low water consumption standards
• Employee use of public transportation and bicycles for commuting
• Recycling of used computers and peripherals by refurbishing and donating to charities
